Mental Health Counseling with Suzanne
Many of you who have practiced Yoga with me also know that I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. It was my vision after I sold my Yoga studio (Journeys in Yoga) in Tallahassee, that I would get back to my original roots as a mental health therapist, with an added holistic slant- blending my knowledge of the mindfulness, movement and breath practices of Yoga with traditional talk therapy.
I am happy to announce that I am accepting new clients on a case-by-case basis. My practice is fully online through telehealth, with aspirations for in-person work in the future! I am currently working with a sliding scale between $80 and $100 for a 50-minute session. Unfortunately, due to systemic barriers I cannot take insurance.

Mission
The missions for Shine Wellness Services can be summed up with this quote called
"A Medicine Woman's Prayer":
"I will not rescue you, for you are not powerless.
I will not fix you, for you are not broken.
I will not heal you, for I see your wholeness.
I will walk with you through the darkness
as you remember your light."
Vision
My vision for Shine Wellness Services is to effectively blend traditional talk therapy with the somatic and mindfulness practices of Yoga, accessing and processing emotions through a bottom-up approach (from body to the mind). As we learn breathwork, movement, meditation and visualization, we can bring the nervous system into alignment and safety no matter what is happening around us or within us. No Yoga experience is needed, and the practices are accessible to all!
